680 (Q:49/V:32)

by czarczar » Mon Aug 09, 2010 9:35 am
I gave GMAT today and scored 680.
I guess I got what i deserved because i never scored above 710 in any of practice tests but afcourse am upset.
I have not used any of MGMAT guides till now.
Exam looked easy, though am not right one to comment.

CR was pretty easy so was SC.
I know i screwed RC as usual.

As I am planning again to appear in upcoming 1-2 months any feedback of members who have came out of this situation will be appreciated.

I just dunt know how to start again. :)

GMAT Score:680

I am no expert, since I myself just started studying recently. But looking at your Quant score, I would start with Verbal, specially RC. If you get your verbal from 32 to 35, that will make your GMAT score go up to at least a 700.
FYI: I just took a mock test last week, and scored 32 in Verbal. So I know that's what I am hitting next now :)
Good Luck!

Definitely verbal, you've almost maxed your quant score. You have a good shot at getting a really good score if you focus on improving verbal. I would recommend trying the CR and RC books from Veritas.

Thanks Guys .

I guess the first job is to increase my reading capabilities.

Just wanted to know as u said Veritas for RC.

Can RC be improved by reading these books?

I mean is there any technique which these books (Veritas) consist off?

Thanks....
