Got beaten black and blue - 610 (48Q, 26V)

I've not been an active participant in the forum, but I've read probably each and every post in the last couple of months. I must thank folks whose posts have helped me a lot - papgust and Patrick (GmatFix).

GMAT Fix for Quant helped me tremendously.

I gave the GMAT yesterday and was in for a rude shock. The score of 610 (48Q, 26V) was not something I'd prepared for. My target was 720-730. I had been preparing for 3-4 months and last 3 weeks prior to the GMAT I took 3 weeks off from work also. I had taken mocks with the following scores,

GMAT Prep 1 (1st week of Feb) - 560 45Q, 22V (No preparation at all)
GMAT Prep 1 (1st week of Jul) - 690 48V, 36 V (At the onset of my 3 weeks study break)
GMAT Prep 2 (last of of Jul) - 720 50V, 37V
MGMAT CAT 1 (last week of Jul) - 700

English is not my 1st language; however it has been the medium of instruction right from childhood through college. I studied for verbal from MGMAT SC and Powerscore CR. I knew that my weak point is SC, but didn't expect such a disaster.

I am not the kind of person who will give up. I plan to take the exam again soon. I am think that I can't further improve in Quant; just need to take care of not doing silly mistakes. Any guidance on how I can improve in Verbal? I just don't have any confidence left in me.
