Hi,

Thanks for your post. You seem to have solid work experience to date and a good career trajectory thus far. I'm glad to see that you plan to retake the GMAT. I strongly encourage you to aim for a score of 700+ since this would put your application a bit more on par with others of a similar background and experience.

It's hard for me to assess your fit with the programs you've listed since you haven't shared your goals or reasons for seeking an MBA. Can you share this information with me?

Thanks,

Stacey

I am looking to obtain a deeper understanding of the global business world. Currently I have a deep understanding of the business cycle, investing across the capital structure, the inner workings of capital markets, and the many factors that drive shareholder value. In my side business I have a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully run a small business, from customizing client satisfaction, to building a customer base and creating a brand identity. I am seeking to build upon my existing skills so that I can take my business to the next level.

Hi,

Thanks for the additional information. It sounds to me like you have quite a bit of vast business experience to date. You'll want to be specific in your essays for bschool as to which areas you need to develop or learn. As it stands now you seem quit accomplished and the adcom may not be convinced an MBA is necessary for you to achieve your goals. Be sure this isn't the case by being specific.

If you are able to improve your GMAT to 700+ you likely can be competitive for admission at the programs you've mentioned. Be sure to do your research on the schools and emphasize your fit with each program.

Regards,

Stacey
