I did it in two months with just 2 prep tests. Used the last 2 weeks for only giving full prep tests and reviewing the results.
Resources used - OG, Kaplan Test Strategy
Prep Test 1 - 710
Prep Test 2 - 680
The Prep test questions were a little harder than the OG ones and the actual GMAT test was at a totally different level.
The OG guide is a goos starting point that would train you to think differently and it stops there. It is up to you to continue honing your skillset by solving a variety of problems. Time management is the key on the day of the exam. I wasted 4-5 min on few of the questions initially and had less than 1 min for the last few questions.
The RC in OG does not help at all, i got 100% correct answers in all OG RC's but got screwed in the final GMAT. The noise level in the test centre is definitely a deterrent while working on the verbal section, so do opt for that ear plugs on the day of the exam.
I was not decided on whether to pursue MBA or not considering the financial burden and gave GMAT just for the heck of it and that kinda reflected on my final score. If i can get a 700 then anyone with serious prep can definitely score a 700+ with ease. All the best guyz!!!
