Transmission of the GMAT Score

by Nils » Sat Jul 31, 2010 3:04 am
Hey, I haven't taken the GMAT yet. I already know that the old scores are shown on the certificate and I would like to know if the schools accept a copy of the certificate which I receive after the test? I do not want to give the test-center the adress of the school, because I would like to know my score first. Does anyone know the process?

EssaySnark says, for most schools, you self-report your GMAT score by entering it on the online application, and you have GMAC send the official score report to the school as well. There are two ways to request scores to be sent: either on your test day, before the test begins, you can select the schools that get the report (this is free); or at any time afterwards, you can log onto the GMAT website and request that scores be sent to the school(s) (this costs money). In either case, the school will get the entire history of all tests taken over the past five years. Most schools ask you to select the score you want them to consider by typing it into the online application form.

Hope this helps!
