How should be the essay architecture

by saurabhmahajan » Tue Jul 27, 2010 12:30 am
Hi Friends,

While writing an essay, how should i keep the structure of the essay.Like it should more of an intresting story telling about me and my achievements or should directly point out my achievements.also there is word limit of only 300 words.
One such essay which asks to make compelling argument to be admitted in the B-school in my opinion is quite difficult.
So please suggest your experiences and ways to model my essays.
Thanks and regards,
Saurabh Mahajan

I can understand you not winning, but i will not forgive you for not trying.

Either structure is perfectly acceptable. Generally it is most interesting to read an essay that is a story (as long as it answers the question and highlights your strengths and experiences!). Just make sure that your writing is clear and concise - stories are nice, but, don't make a story so detailed or lengthy that you "waste words" and are unable to convey your message.

And, most importantly, make sure you answer the question that is being asked! Many applicants are so concerned with highlighting their own strengths that they don't effectively answer the question.

Good luck!

A school should admit you because you would be a great addition to the class - because you will bring a unique perspective and a unique set of experiences which will enrich your classmates both in the classroom and out!!
