Dear Simmi,

You want to allow yourself enough time to take the GMAT at least twice. You have to allow 31 days between test attempts, and you must allow at least 3 weeks from your test date for your official scores to arrive at the school. So, the last possible date for a test would be 3 weeks prior to the school's deadline. However, I would suggest you take the GMAT as soon as you feel ready and get it under your belt prior to writing your applications. That way, you can really focus on your essays and other application components which are just as important.

Good luck,
Lisa
