Page 303 of 12th edition Question 43
Question from the guide:
What is the tenths digit in the decimal represemtation of a certain number?
1) The number is less than 1/3
2) The number is greater than 1/4
The answer says E - neither statement is sufficient
Should it not be C? (both statements together)
0, 1, 2, and 3 are less than 1/3 or .33 for tenths digit
3, 4, 5 ... are greater than 1/4 or .25 for tenths digit
therefore answer must be 3 which means you need both statements to figure out
Why does the guide say 2 is greater than .25 for tenths digit? Am I missing something?
thanks
