Hello everyone,
I've just took the gmat for the second time and score 680, quant 46, verb 37, was hoping for 700 but what can you do, since that was my second gmat, don't think I will be going for a third. My background is in apparel production/design for 3 years, 27 years old, graduated with degrees in computer science and international business and minors in chinese and fashion design and am looking for a career change with this MBA.
What I think I want is a school with a good program and a good reputation of international-ness. I am Chinese and moved to the U.S. when I was twelve and have a great interest in working in a global company with opportunities to travel (to China or anywhere). Interested in a general international business mba coupled with management or finance to solidify the degree. (My undergrad of international business was a bit of a fluff and I felt just having only a international business degree is not as solid as other specializations such as finance or accounting.)
Perhaps someone can point me to a website or some books on rankings schools with good MBA international programs. Given my gmat score of 680, my iffy working background in apparel (no management experience) and what I imagine a not so unique Chinese-ness, I am aiming for 2nd tier schools.
So far I've considered OSU Fisher and Fordham, both have international programs and I think I can get into either schools. What kind of research would you guys recommend? Any help/pointer would be appreciated.
Thank you
