I chose D.I rejected C because according to me the placement of "only" is incorrect. We dont want "only participate". Only should be close to "all-girls class". Please correct me if wrong.

C is the only one close. However, I felt C would be better it was:

Why shouldn't the correct answer contain would? I thought the underlined part had hypothetical case " If they had all girls class, girls would participate actively"

Somebody pls correct me here.
