Dear jayavignesh,

It is impossible to determine your chances based on one component of the application, GPA. Admissions decisions are made holistically, evaluating all components. Since your GPA is significantly below the average, then you need to ensure the rest of your application is outstanding and compelling to mitigate the GPA.

Good luck,
Lisa

No, low gpa doesn't deny your chance of getting admitted. Its just one criteria among others .Their is not any minimum Gpa, its just the average that is given and also there is a note that GPA not in 4 scale are omitted .While you fill your form ,the details of your university registrar will be asked,so that your mark pattern can be enquired for scaling your GPA to a competitive level. So no need to worry much on the GPA thing, concentrate on other parts of the application. And always remember the admission is a process of elimination and not selection. They want the best among the bests.HBS wants to coach leaders not inculcate leadership qualities in an individual. They are searching for born leaders, who has the real energy to become a World Leader.
