I have a Q about Knewton course. Could any body tell me more on Knewton's 50 point guarantee thing? Which score is the base score they take for giving this guarantee? I am planning to enroll for it.

I wouldn't do it unless you have an official GMAT score. Many on this board complain about the way Knewton scores their diagnostic CAT, so if you are banking on that 50 point guarantee, take the real gmat first and then take their course.

Thanks for your interest in Knewton!

For students with a valid GMAT score (within 5 years), that score is used as the baseline for the 50-point guarantee. If you don't have a valid GMAT score, then your guarantee will be based on the Knewton full-length diagnostic CAT. (Our CATs were created by the architects of the actual GMAT, and are designed to mimic the official test as much as possible). In order to qualify for the guarantee, you also have to attend all classes (or watch on-demand) and complete the required homework.

Osirus,

I actually feel Knewton diagnostic test is not that bad! Scoring might be a bit off base in verbal (but the questions are quite good). Quant is easy but if you make too many mistakes - it drastically brings down your score. I guess 'coz the diff.level is not that high.
