HI Bret,

I scored dismal 580 this time . Q-49 V - 20. My quant score went up but my verbal went down.
My first test scores were 550 Q-40 V -28

Pls suggest how should i improve my verbal score. My target gmat score is 750.

Many thanks for helping us out.

Hi gmat2012,

One way to work on your verbal score is to start RC passages from standardized tests (GRE, GMAT, LSAT etc).
You should get used to this kind of academic writing that is typically tested.
You might also start tackling the odd SC questions in your spare time.

Having said that, the last 2 weeks of the Study Guide are devoted to working on areas of weakness.

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent
