K is the value of one shirt
[(RS200+K)/12] * 9 = RS150 + 3K/4 should be 9 months payment.

RS120+K=RS150+3K/4

K/4=RS150-RS120

K=RS120

That did not make sense to me though. Did I interpret the question wrong?

Price of shirt = x; Salary per month = y

=> 12y = 200 + x; and 9y = 120 + x

From the first: y = (200 + x) / 12

Substitute in the second:

9*(200+x) / 12 = 120 + x

=> 1800 + 9x = 1440 + 12x

=> 3x = 360

=> x = 120

200+S=12x--A

120+S=9x--B

A-B

80=3x-->x=80/3

Sub x in A,

200+S=320

S=120
