D - 'prob with tense'. Its not a universal truth that we use simple past here (produces..wrong), esp when even though/if construction talks abt a future incident, we sud use 'simple future'. That is, "Even if/Even though..is....will produce" correct. IMO B

For me, even though and even if can be used interchangebly...need some view pls
