which has fingerlike projections poking through the opening, called the taste pore,
located at the top of taste bud

In this sentence Called is an appostive as it is moidifier that refers back only to the opening which is calle the taste pore....Am I right?

Please put the whole sentence. If you give us only a part of the sentence then it's really difficult to identify the structure of the sentence.

Here you go:

Taste buds are onion-shaped structures with between 50 and 100 taste
cells, each of them has fingerlike projections poking through the opening
located at the top of the taste bud called the taste pore.

Sentence is blue is wrong - use of 'has'...make it a run on sentence. Secondly, "called the taste pore" is appositive for taste bud.

sentence in red also appears wrong, though use of 'has' appropriate here, "called..pore" referent is ambiguous...seems to modify "opening/projections". Also "located at the top of taste bud" positioned as if "taste pore is located at the top of taste bud"

"comma + ed-" modifiers are noun modifiers. Therefore, I intend to correct my previous comment abt text in red, "called...pore" modify 'opening'...no ambiguity here. IMO C
