A takes 4 days to do a work. B takes twice as long as A. C takes twice as long as B and D takes twice as long as C. They are made in groups of two. One of the groups takes two third of the time taken by second pair. What is the combination of the first pair?

1) A,C 2) A,D 3) B,C 4) B,D

a=4 days
b=8;c=16 and d=32
a+d takes 32*4/36=32/9 days
b+c takes 16*8/24=16/3 days
a
hence ad takes 2/3 of bc
ans is ad
i.e B
Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working
