GMATPrep Vs PowerPrep

Hi,

Can anybody here elaborate on how is GMATPrep different from PowerPrep in terms of difficultly level, actual scoring etc? I heard that Powerprep repeats a lot of quesiton from OG 10 is that correct? Also would you recommend me to practise on GMAT tests or Powerprep I am like 3 weeks away from my GMAT. I am a very busy working professional and only gets weekend to study. Please share your thoughts, strategy and experience.

GMATPrep is the upgraded version of PowerPrep. Both tests features actual but retired GMAT questions. Howver, GMATPrep's bank of retired quesitons are more recent than that of PowerPrep's; also, PowerPrep does have significant overlap with OG 10 (to the best of my knowledge, GMATPrep has no overlap with OG10).

GMATPrep is the most accurate simulator of the actual GMAT, and therefore is the best practice test software to use--period. I still think that it is useful to go through the PowerPrep tests because you can still benefit from practicing on actual GMAT questions, even though they are older in this particular software.

Be sure to take at least one practice test in your remaining weekends, and spend some time after each test to analyze your results. Try to figure out which questions you consistently performing well on, and more importantly, try to figure out where you are weak. Focus on improving your weaknesses by doing extra practice in these areas in OG.

Thanks for your reply Eric I got 710 (v39 Q48) on the powerprep test. I got 1 wrong on PS I made few mistakes on DS. I got all the RC correct I got 3 CR and lot of SC wrong I have to work on my SC for next three weeks to get a score of 700 in the actual GMAT.
