Dear hangrock,
You need to decide what you want from your MBA program and then prioritize that list. Are possible career opportunities more important to you than possible financial aid for school? How much of an impact will being at SCU over LMU truly have on your job search? Are you sure there is a significant difference? It is possible there is, but the biggest determinant in your career search will be you, not the name of your school or its career center. Since these schools are in the same metro area, then you should have access to the same companies and be able to network with the same folks. Do your research and find out what real differences there are in terms of career connections and resources. It might not be that significant, but it might; then you will know if it is worth forgoing any financial aid. Likewise, how much financial aid is LMU offering? Is it a significant amount--enough to forgo better career opportunities? Or is it minimal and worth giving up for the career resources and connections of SCU?
Good luck,
Lisa
