Power Score Weekend GMAT course

I am planning on taking the GMAT in late Dec/early Jan and I'm just getting my studying underway. There is a company called PowerScore, that I haven't seen mentioned on this site that holds weekend GMAT courses. I am not sure if you are familiar or not, but they hold 2 8 hour sessions, Saturday and Sunday and there is one coming up in my area.

I was wondering if you were familiar with their test reviews and was curious as to if you thought that it would be a worthwhile experience for me. They have some space open for the Nov. 10th & 11th session and since I took a GRE course with them a few years back, I can take the GMAT course at 50% off or $200.

What are your thoughts on this?

Never heard of PowerScore. I would go with Princeton Review, Kaplan, or preferably Manhattan GMAT if you have the resources...

Since I am eligible for the discount and can take the class for only $200, I think I'm going to do it.

I'm going to study for the test using the resources and books mentioned on this site, but I don't think that attending this weekend course can hurt.

Thanks for the reference. I checked out the website, and on the surface their services seem legitimate. I think it can't hurt you to take the course either.

Yeah, it probably won't hurt! Just be aware that cramming 16 hours into one week-end may make it tough for you to retain as much info - whether you're taking a course or just studying on your own, that's a LOT of brainpower in a short period of time.
