Beat the GMAT: Scored 710 (47Q, 40V)

Want to thank this site for providing some really good free material, especially the comprehensive flashcards. They really helped me push my score beyond 700 (though I wish I scored more on Quant).

I practiced using GMATPrep and MGMAT tests, gave 5 tests overall and prepared for roughly 3 months.

Does anyone know if probability questions show up a great deal on this exam? I just purchased the "Foundations of GMAT Math" book. Probability is not discussed!

I was hoping to get a more elementary overview of this.

Also, I do have one more query:

Is four months enough study time? I was hoping to take the exam by early September!

In my experience, advanced GMAT concepts like probability only appear at MOST a handful of times on the GMAT (like 0-3 questions on the real test). I wouldn't overemphasize studying this topic vs. more common questions on Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry.

Hello Again,

After combing through many detailed summaries of GMAT experiences, I noticed something. Many folks want to simulate the test environment.

However, my question is this: What if your local library does not have a Wi Fi connection that will allow you to use it that long? Or, how do you do that in a library? Take your laptop and sit at the table?

What about your own office? I have an office upstairs. I believe I could leave the TV on or something...would that suffice?
