Can you please explain the difference in usage with examples of the followings in context of GMAT?

such ... as

The only place I have seen so ... as in in adj/adv of degree - the movie was so slow as to be boring (but this is often an awkward phrasing and I honestly haven't seen it on the GMAT.)
You use so... that when the phrase after that is the purpose - the baby cried so that he would be picked up vs. the baby cried so his mother picked him up.
Such as is used to indicate an example - like is used to introduce a comparison
such is used to indicate degree - this was such a good conversation - you add that when you want to add another phrase to it - this was such a good conversation that I want to talk with you again.
These are a bit simplistic - if you have some specific examples I would be glad to look into them further.
