I recently scored a 660 on the GMAT (63% quantitative, 89% verbal) and was hoping someone would evaluate my profile. I have already taken it twice and would prefer not to take it again. I would like to attend a top 15 program (I am considering Duke, Virginia, North Carolina, and Northwestern).
I feel like the other aspects of my resume are average to pretty strong and was wondering if these would help compensate for the below average score. I am 29 years old and have 5 years of experience as an external auditor and was promoted once during my tenure. I attended the University of Tulsa and graduated with a degree in accounting and finance with a GPA of 3.7. I also have my CPA as well as the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) and CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) designations. For community involvement, I currently serve as a board member (Finance and Fundraising committees) on a local non-profit organization and recently graduated from a selective Tulsa based leadership program designed to promote community service (requires service on the board of a local non-profit organization; attended by a significant number of business leaders).
I made an A in most to all of the courses that were primarily math (i.e. Calculus I, Statistics I and II etc) and was hoping that would compensate as well.
