total mileage = total dist/total consumption of gas

In the city 1 gas = 25 miles...so for 10 miles we need only 10/25 gas = 2/5 gas

||ly in the hghway 1 gas = 40 miles...so for 50 miles we need 50/40 gas = 5/4 gas....

Total consumption of gas = 2/5 + 5/4 = 33/20 gas

Total mileage = (10+50)/(33/20) = 400/11 = 36 approx (36*11 = 396)
Trying hard!!!
