Came across this doubt on another forum. Which one of the following is grammatically correct?

1. To solve this matter, contact the concerned official.
2. To solve this matter, contact the official concerned.

I would say "the concerned official" is better.

"concerned " is adj modifying to official.

But isn't the meaning of the word "concerned" at doubt in the first sentence? "contact the concerned official" may mean either of 1)contact the official who is feeling concerned or 2)contact the official who is interested in the matter. No such ambiguity is present in the second sentence.
Is this reasoning flawed?

Statement 2 means . wht u have explained,,,

Stmt 1 is better and correct.
