I need some advice

I just graduated College, but I only graduated with a 2.8 gpa. What score should I aim for on my Gmat to get into a good MBA program? do I even have a decent chance of getting into a good program?. Please advise and thanks ahead for your time.

It really depends. The GPA you mention is a bit on the low side, but there are things you can do to offset it:
- write an additional essay to explain your below average results (i.e. you worked through college/were sick for a long time)
- take a few courses at your local community college and be sure to get awesome grades there. Aim for courses that are business-related, such as Accounting or Statistics
- get a good score on the GMAT. "Good" is pretty subjective/relative here, because your background should also count. If you're a part of one of the overrepresented applicant pool (such as Indian IT Male or White Male Investment Banker), then getting into a top school will probably require a score well over the school's averages (Stanford has the highest average, somewhere around 730). If, however, you come from a non-traditional field, such as biochemistry or the military, then I think you can get admissions even with a lower score

I Figured I would need a good score on the GMAT. In terms of background I grew up in Haiti, but I attended high school in the Sates. By the way Dana, it seems that you scored pretty well on your GMAT, any pointers?
