Arguement- always attack assumptions?

Hi, I was wondering, for the arguement analysis bit, do I always have to attack questionable assumptions and conclude with how uncompelling the author's arguement is? Can I also point out an assumption I think it correct and provide evidence? What are the dangers to this approach?

For the Argument question, always know that the given argument will be weak and flawed. That is the principle of this particular type of question. Based on this fact, develop your essay. Find out the specific flaws and then make them individual points for you body paragraphs. Also, you may mention some points which can make the given argument more justified and valid.
