I have been studying my Quant for over a month and a half and I'm still having a hard time recognizing question types and formulating the best way to solve them immediately. I would like to find a book that provides more "strategy" for solving different types of problems. I have the OG 12th edition and the answer explanations are terrible.
I've been thinking about buying the GMATFix OG Math Companion but their website isn't exactly professional looking and I'm a bit weary of purchasing from them. Plus no one really talks about that book and from what I understand you can only access it online if you want to use it on a computer.
So my questions are:
1. What books would you recommend that do a good job of explaining Quant and giving shortcuts/strategy for solving questions?
2. What is the general consensus on the GMATFix.com book? Is it worth the purchase?
Thank you for your time!
Dave
