Which of the following inequalities is equivalent to –2 < x < 4 ?
(A) | x – 2 | < 4
(B) | x – 1 | < 3
(C) | x + 1 | < 3
(D) | x + 2 | < 4
(E) None of the above
The OA is B, but I chose E.
for A,B if we take x as -2 it fails the condition
for C ,D if we take x as 4 it fails the condition
so isnt the answer E.
Please let me know
