I took a Free Kaplan GMAT prep test about a year ago and scored a 490. Im glad that I did not take the test for real. I have decided to take the test this summer since I don't have class and I will have lots of time to study on my own.
I don't have the money to take a full length course, and I keep reading that the Weekend PowerScore course does nothing more than if I was to study really good myself. Any suggestions on that??
I have the OG 11th edition - I have already gone through all the Verbal Cirtical Reasoning. I plan to tackle the Reading Comp. Next. I will be buying lots of GMAC and PowerScore books to help with my math. I am really good in math however I need a refresher.
I signed up for a Manhattan GMAT CAT that I will take tonight. To see if I improved any from the 490.
My boss told me that he got a 650 way back in the day and that has set the bar for me. I plan on applying to Wayne State University and University of Michigan - Dearborn. Both average a 550 score, while WSU will accept a 450. I really want to go to WSU as I already go to U of M now.
Do you have any advice on what is the best way to raise my score to a 600 or better?
