Q: At Burger King , burgers can be bought in quantities of either 6 , 9 or 20 only . For example, one can purchase
26 (20 + 6) , 15 ( 6 + 9 ) and 24 ( 9*2 + 6) etc ,but can't purchase 10 burgers i.e without any lot. What is the largest number of burgers that can NOT be purchased ?

a)13

b)27

c)37

d)83

e)None of these

83 = (4*20 + 3) - Does not satisfy condition
83 = (9*9 + 1) - Does not satisfy condition
83 = (6*13 + 5) - Does not satisfy condition

Thus in my view 83 is the answer

9*7=63+20=83

though 37 cannot be purchased its not the answer because even 40 which is greater than 37 cannot be purchased.
So answer is E(none of these)
only way to solve is thru options

anyway 43 cannot be purchased so ans remain same as E

OAE. I don't have an explanation to this problem , so I made a guess that there are other possible combinations greater than the given options that cannot be purchased. But I would like to have other people's explanations for the answer E.
