You can give as many times as you like, but the only problem with taking GMAT prep test again and again, is that you may be so familiar with the answers and if you get a similar question in the actual GMAT you man guess based on your memory ( From the prep test ).
The more you learn, the more you know, what you don't know.

I've retaken it a couple times.
and I improved my score by +120 pts.

My recommendation is to review the questions you got wrong, identify areas ur weak in, and study the concepts underlying concepts.
Retaking over and over again w/o studying is not going to improve ur score. ur gonna get the
same questions wrong every time.
and since you will have seen some(a couple, IMO) of the questions, you should aim for a perfect score on
the retakes.
and gauge ur score + - 30 pts for the real tests.

I'm thinking about taking it a couple times just so that right before my real exam I see 700+ and get excited! ahah

well, there are only a couple questions that are the same so if u do get 700 on the retakes, think 670~730.
u have to think of getting a perfect score since u already saw some of the questions.
my first cat test i got a 500, i studied and retook then I got 780s. And scored 720 on the real exam.
so yeah

analyst218 i have a question about your studies... how long did you study for? did you ever find yourself hitting a wall where you were simply OVER IT and you needed a break?
