To Beat the GMAT

Dear Experts,

First time, when I gave GMAT in Dec. 2008 and scored 460 (Q 44, V 12)

Please suggest me to Prepare well for my exam, my score was 490 (Q 45, V 15) after the rigorous preparation of 4 months (near about 3 hrs each day). I gave it on 28th Feb. 2010.
As compared to the first time this time I prepared a lot for Verbal Section as listed below
1. 1000- SC
2. 500 CR questions
3. 100 RCs
4. Official Guide

Before a day when I gave GMAT Prep Test I scored 590 (Q 46, V 26 )
And scored 550 (Q 37, V 33)

I am very confused at this stage. Please suggest me a clean & clear way to 700+ score. I am not able to evaluate my self.

Hi Ashokchalal,

The scores suggest that you are consistent with Math but you have to improve your Verbal skills.

Looking at your preparation materials, i can see that you lack few books that teach the 'strategy' on how to answer GMAT Verbal questions. Get some good books which help you to approach GMAT questions in such a way that you can crack them easily.
Princeton review will be good. You can ask the experts in our forum regarding further preparation materials. I believe that there are few threads, which have discussions related to preparation materials.
