I Will go with E.

Q is X = Y.

A

x = 2 and y = 3 then or x = 3 and y = 3. In both these choices Eqn in A works.

B gives info that both x and y are not 0. Nothing else.

Combined also cannot prove

Statement 1:-
Case 1:-If x-y > 0
then x-y = -(y-x)
Case 2:-If x-y < 0
then -(x-y) = y-x
Insufficient.

Statement 2:- xy =/ 0
Insufficient

Combining both we get neither x is 0,nor y is 0.
Thus,answer should be E.
