admission based on GMAT score and GPA only

I'm looking at a school that says you are automaticaly accepted if you meet this fromula (200*overall GPA) +GMAT Score=1100 I spoke with someone in the business office and she said they don't look at the AWApart, so I could just skip it right? It doesn't factor into my score and that's all I really need, so I don't think it's worth the time to study for it. And how do I skip it, do I just leave it blank and hit the sumbit button? And if I do decide to skip it will the next part start right away?

I wouldn't skip the AWA.

In this case "skip" meaning typing the letter "B" or something and hitting enter.

A terrible score could raise eyebrows, and schools have been known to juxtapose your AWA score with your personal statement to make sure the same person wrote both (instead of, say, a high-priced admissions consultant).

That said, you needn't waste your caffeine buzz on hammering out a piece of literary gold to compete with the Gettysburg Address. Pace yourself, write a decent essay, and move on...
