confused about no. of question

guys i am confused about no. of questions asked in GMAT... OG says 37ques in quant and 41ques in Verbal but people here have written their scores as (say) 720 -48Q,41V .... how come they attempt 48 question in quant when 37 ques are there...please correct where i am mistaken

The sub scores are not questions answered correctly. Each question doesn't even carry the same weight. Harder questions give you more credit than easier questions (but you have to get the easier questions correct in order to get a harder question.

Vikram,

Q48 doesn't mean that there are 48 questions. It is the score of quants section - 48. There are only 37 questions in Math. The scores are calculated based on how you answer those 37 questions. The same applies to verbal (41 questions).
