why does it yield a 0<= x <= 2 and not 0 => x & x<= 2 ?

x(x-2) = 0 x = 0 or 2
x(x-2) < 0 then x and x-2 should have signs (+ or -) possible within this range 0<x<2

so 0<=x<=2

x(x-2) = x² - 2 x which is always + ve for x < 0
