Hi Experts,

I am preparing GMAT for the last 4 months using OG and Barons, but I feel some improvements needed in Verbal section. Can you pls suggest me which one of the book between Kaplon's Advanced GMAT and OG's verbal review is excellent for solving tough problems. I think before getting that book I can get some suggestions from you guys. Also pls suggest me if any other book to improve my SC, CR and RC skills. Thanks in advance for your help..Best of luck guys..

with Reg,

I recommend taking a look at the Kaplan GMAT Verbal Workbook, PowerScore's Critical Reasoning Bible, and Manhattan GMAT's Sentence Correction Guide. Check out these GMAT book reviews.

Good luck!

Hi Eric,

Thanks for that quick turn around as usual. Do you have anyother tips for improving verbal ability by reading any particular magazines or watching any TV channels which use American accent. Please advice me. Also I am in India pls suggest me something which I can get here.

Thanks,

You should definitely make a point of reading American periodicals on a daily basis while you prep. Some suggestions:

New York Times - https://www.nytimes.com
Scientific American - https://www.scientificamerican.com
McKinsey Quarterly - https://www.mckinseyquarterly.com

If you have some free time, I might check out some American novels too--Ernest Hemingway would be a great author to read, since he's known for his clear and simple prose.

Good luck!
