8 Years of experience in IT in Software Development and Consulting. Currently working as Sr. Consulting Manager with a Mid Size Consulting Firm.
Masters in Computer Science from Old Dominion University (VA) (3.5 GPA)
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
Age: 32

Planning to apply for 2011

Yet to take GMAT. Howver, I'm targeting 700+

Schools in Mind:

UC Berkeley
Wharton.
UCLA

What should be my target GMAT score

Hello,

From the information you've provided, I'd suggest aiming for the mid 700s to solidify your chances (also needed for those programs: a stellar application). Anything above 700 will put you in the qualifying range.

You're on the older side for a regular full-time MBA. It will be imperative to make a compelling case for why you need a full-time program and how/why you expect to be hired post-MBA - ideally try to show that you have the means to obtain a position without depending entirely on the schools' recruiting.

Thank you Cindy. I apologize for missing out on detail. I don't think I was focusing on full-time MBA. I was more inclined in the evening and weekend MBA programs these schools offer. Does this make me any qualified for the evening and weekend MBA ?

Yes, you would be more competitive for the weekend/evening programs, which have slightly older students. Good choice. Though Wharton has an EMBA program (very competitive), not a weekend/evening program --
