When two unbiased dice are tossed simultaneously, the numbers that appear on the top surface of the two dice are 'a' and 'b'.What is the probability that (a × b) is a perfect square?

There are 36 possible outcomes

1,1
2,2
..
6,6

are six favourable outcomes

(1,4) (4,1) are another 2

so total favourable outcomes =8

Probability = 8/36 = 2/9
