A question for all you GMAT Slayers out there

It seems like pretty much everyone here has used the do-it-yourself approach to preparation.

Has anyone tried the advanced courses offered by some of the companies out there? Can you share your experiences, have they helped.

I am considering taking the Kaplan GMAT Advanced class. My target score is 710. What do you guys/girls think?

It depends on how you learn. When you were in school if the lecture was vital for you understanding the material, then you would definitely benefit from a class. In terms of the classes with the best reputation. Most on here feel that the best in person classes are Kaplan Advanced, Manhattan GMAT, and Veritas Prep. They are all expensive though. If you're weaker in verbal go with Veritas or Kaplan Advanced. If you're weaker in math go with Manhattan GMAT.

jeffboshine I am like you where I was set on taking a class. I'm in NYC and decided to take Manhattan GMAT, after researching all of my options out there. MGMAT was spoken of highly by everyone I met, so that's the one I decided to go with.

I'd say this makes sense. If you're in a location where you can go to information sessions for each... I would suggest doing that if time permits.
