Hi there,
Desperately looking for some researched guidance. I'd like to apply for ideally one year (upto 15 month) programs, need help with analyzing where I have a chance. Here's my profile -
30 year old female
Work Ex - 7+ years (will be 8 by the time i start my mba)
Work Profile - Learning Consultant with an IT org in India. Current profile is to consult with management and provide relevant learning programs. I've done training in china and work on global learning projects (international exposure but not much travel). All my work ex has been in behavior and soft skills training for IT and ITES.
Extras - I'm very involved in CSR activities and have organized various fun at work events.
Interests - Traveling, Painting, Dancing (I'm learning Salsa). Have learnt a little bit of Piano and Pottery.
Why MBA - a) stuck with IT and ITES, need to switch industy; b) Career advancement; and c) international experience
I took gmat in dec '06 with score of 600, admitted to AIM, Phillipinnes but didn't go.
I plan to retake GMAT in April first week, aiming for 700 but realitistically might be able to push upto 650-670.
I've looked at more European schools since I do not want to do a 2 year MBA. I plan to apply for Jan 2011.
I'm currently looking at - LBS, INSEAD, IMD, Said, Rotterdam, Cass and of course Indian school of business and IIM A Exec program. I'll pick 5 of these to apply to.
Questions -
- Do I have a chance in any of the ones I've listed?
-Should I retake gmat or should I use my old score?
- Any ideas on schools in US with less than 15 month programs or the ones in Europe with good standing and I've overlooked?
Thanks a lot!
Shina
