The sum of 3rd and 15th elements of an arithmetic progression is equal to the sum of 6th, 11th and 13th elements of the progression. Then which element of the series should necessarily be equal to zero?

Let a be the first term in the sequence.

(a+2)+(a+14) = (a+5)+(a+10)+(a+12)
2a +16 = 3a+27
a = -11

a+11 equals 0

So, 12th term (C)
