You seem to be a strong applicant. My biggest concern would be the GMAT. I am not clear - do you think you will improve over the 590?

What is maintenance supervisor? How many people did you supervise? How did you progress over the five years? Depending on your answers, I think you could be competitive.

The GMAT is NOT the most important aspect, but it is the one thing that is equal across all applicants. And in this competitive rpocess you want to maximize each component of your application. They will not toss you aside with a 600 GMAT. But the burden on other areas of your application become much bigger. I have spoken to adcomm members about this and they will encourage you to apply with your GMAT. However, while I believe you do have a chance even with a 600, your chance is significantly lower.

UCLA is pretty numbers sensitive, so you definitely want to maximize the GMAT score. Good luck!
