GMAT Just Beat Me.

by Giorgio » Mon Dec 28, 2009 8:28 am
I was hoping to post in different section by the end of the date, however I just returned from the testing center with absolutely unacceptable score : 650 ( Q49, V30) ...

Everything went smoothly in the beginning, Wrote AWA , and completed Math's section with 12 mins remaining.I was quite motivated after first 10 questions in Verbal , I was feeling that i was doing very well, however I was disturbed after that with an ongoing class just behind the wall. I could not concentrate on the remaining questions at all, and was not really expecting to receive a good score after i have completed verbal section.

This is very devastating for me , because in my last 3 Cat's I have never scored below 700, including 750 and 730 in MGMAT and 730 in GMAT prep just 2 days before the exam , and my verbal score range was 35-44.

I am going to give a try once more in 1 month, but it don't wanna experience same disturbance as i did today, how can i report this issue to GMAC? Maybe they will encourage test center to divide a classroom from the testing room.

Sorry to hear your experience. But still 650 is a good score. It's just a matter of little extra concentration in verbal.

I'm not sure whether GMAC would accept your complaint. I've heard that GMAC would check whether some more people have lodged the same complaint from the same center and only then they will take appropriate action.

However, it's worth giving a try raising a complaint. Good luck on your next attempt!

Right, But a friend of mine had the same problem so I think we will raise a complaint together

Hey,

Raise the complaint if you feel like it - you don't make 100% of shots you never take. (something like this).

You have 720 hours since your first test to raise your score 100 points. So, don't waste much time in excuse process and get back to studies.

All the best Giorgio.
