Reviewing recommendations w/ recommender before submission?

I have two great colleagues who are working on my recommendations for my MBA. I made sure to coach them and explain why I am applying to get my MBA, what I want them to highlight, etc. But looking around online reading peoples' application stories, it appears some people sit down with their recommenders to go over the form with them after the recommenders write a draft. Is this normal? Every time I have needed recommendations I have not been able to see them before they were submitted.

Just curious what other people's approaches have been.
