Hi,
Having just completed my executive MBA from Duke, I aspire to enter into management consulting. My background is in software development in telecommunications (Cisco). While I love the job profile of a strategy consultant, there's one aspect of it that I may not be well-suited for - travel! Most consulting companies are based on the model of 100% travel. To balance out on that aspect I was considering internal consulting that offer you the same profile of a strategy consultant but limit your travel. Examples of such firms that I have come across are:
1. Samsung - https://www.smc.siemens.de/en/
2. Seimens - https://www.smc.siemens.de/en/
Does anyone know of more such "internal" consulting opportunities? Also, do you know of specialized management consulting firms that are based on zero or minimum travel model? Bain is probably one example?
Thanks, Ashish
