You are all correct. The original answer is E

I guess I am confused. Here is my confusion:

Although is a Subordinator. I agree that E confirms to Although X, Y. But in this form doesn't both X and Y have to be main clauses. In E Y is a main clause but X is missing the subject so it is not a main clause.

Although is a subordinator which connects a main clause and a dependent clause. Y ("Chicago..") is a main clause and X ("Although..") is a dependent clause. Although's job is to connect the main clause and a dependent clause by correctly retaining the subject throughout. E is perfect in this sense.

I see this as a modifier problem. Option A and E are the only options which uses correct Modifier (Chicago). In A it wordy and not sentence structure is not proper that is the reason i will Say E.
