Hello,
I would like your opinion on my candidate profile - I aim to apply to some of the top tier MBA programs (ie. INSEAD, IESE, LBS, Cambridge, Oxford, Sloan, etc).
Nationality: Indian
Age: 27
Born and brought up in Japan, all the way to High School graduation
Bachelor's: New York University, high GPA, Honors in Economics. Including a year of study abroad in Italy.
Work Ex: 4 years in the Finance Industry, all in New York City - "Top 5 Investment Bank" (Middle Office, Investment Banking), "Top 5 Investment Bank" (Front office, Equity Research), I can get some solid recs.
Extra curricular: Traveling the Globe for the last year and a half, strong passion for [and active in] photography
While handling my regular 'job' at GS, I took on an extra project which lasted the entire 2 years that I worked at the firm: I had the pleasure of working as solo-associate for a Senior Partner in helping him complete his book [as seen on www.aheadofthecurve-thebook.com, published by HBS Press in October '06).
Level 1 CFA Candidate June '10.
GMAT - mid 600. I have an option of taking it one final time next month.
Please let me know if I can throw some more light on the topic.
Thoughts welcome. Appreciate your time.
