Reco Letter - Question and answer ?

by swhc » Tue Nov 10, 2009 1:33 pm
hi

Some of my recommenders have chosen question/answer format when entering their recos online. However online forms have limits like 200 characters, 500 characters or whatever the limit is allowed in that form for each question. Not sure if that is long enough? Would I be better served by my recommenders uploading a letter than filling the online form?

Thanks
swhc

Dear swhc,

Most schools prefer recommenders to complete their online forms, including their short answer questions in the space provided. However, if the recommender answers those questions in a letter he/she has uploaded, then that will also suffice.

Lisa

What if the recommendation does not have anything but question and answers? Also, those answers have very limited characters to be filled. Is it ok to just fill those short questions and not write any long letter?
